“Numark is pleased to announce the launch of our new Health Promotion Library, a new online hub designed to give our members all the support and resources they need to deliver effective and engaging health campaigns in their pharmacies.
We recognise that health campaigns play a vital role in pharmacy, which is why we have launched this new Health Promotion Library, so our members can deliver the best possible help and advice to customers.
The library also provides members in England and Northern Ireland information and support they need to become a Healthy Living Pharmacy (HLP) or Health + Pharmacy (Northern Ireland). Since the recent announcement about the pharmacy contract in England, HLP will become an essential requirement for community pharmacy and health campaigns play a vital role in maintaining this quality mark.
The new library, which is exclusively available to Numark members, contains a wide range of resources, from briefing sheets on certain health topics with advice on engaging customers, to a calendar of national health promotions running throughout the year, campaign materials, and a guide on how to set up a health promotion. This is in addition to the face to face workshops available to our members in a range of areas, allowing the whole pharmacy team to develop or learn new skills and continue providing the best healthcare service they can. We also run a series of webinars for those who can’t attend face to face events, so members are always able to take advantage of everything Numark offers.
Hina Joshi, Professional Development Facilitator at Numark and curator of the new library, says, “Our health promotion library has been designed with our members in mind. Health promotions are a way of ‘planting the seed’ in people’s minds to make better choices and take a responsibility towards their own health. Simply asking “What’s your thoughts on our campaign this week?” is a great way to engage with people. With our support, we want our members to feel inspired to deliver rewarding campaigns time and time again.”
