What does this module cover?
The aim of this CPD module on infant feeding is to enable you to develop your knowledge and skills in the management of common issues associated with infant feeding, in order to advise, support and reassure parents and carers. This CPD module uses the most up-to-date guidance available from the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), the North American Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition (NASPGHAN), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the Rome Foundation.
- Recognise and provide advice on the most common issues associated with infant feeding and the various treatments available
- Understand the differences between lactose intolerance and cow’s milk protein allergy
- Understand the guidelines for managing a lactose intolerance and a cow’s milk protein allergy
- Signpost parents to relevant resources which may provide them with further information if required
