Collecting the award on behalf of the team was Pharmacy Manager John Hamill who said, “This is an award for community pharmacy. I have taken a very good initiative and just extrapolated it out to where it is going to be more beneficial for the profession and patients. I saw inadequacies within that service and in winning this award will be able to show how what I have done will help improve patent lives.
“This award shows that what community pharmacy does is extremely fundamentally beneficial and important to the community at large.”
Rebecca Cabrejas, Generics Business Manager with Actavis UK said, “It is really important for community pharmacy, on an evening like this, to highlight what they are doing, such as John’s service that he has now developed to the wider audience. This is going to help improve patient outcomes and that is what Actavis wants to achieve, acting as a partner of choice for community pharmacy.”
