The Ulster Chemists’ Association held a Special General Meeting on 24th January at their offices on Holywood Road, Belfast, to consult members on a proposal to change the structure of the association to facilitate a closer working relationship with Community Pharmacy NI.

At the meeting UCA outlined the logic for such a change and there was an opportunity for members to debate the proposals with members of the Executive Committee of the Association.

UCA President Cliff McElhinney said “the Executive Committee are delighted to receive unanimous backing from members at tonight’s Special General Meeting, allowing the next stage of negotiations with Community Pharmacy NI to proceed. This was a very positive meeting on the back of very positive discussions between UCA and Community Pharmacy NI on how we can work together to deliver greater benefits for community pharmacy going forward.”
